America – We Are in a Battle

It appears to me that the people who call themselves Christians in America have been blinded to what is happening in this country and are spending too much time listening to the news media program their minds.  We are being deceived by an invisible spiritual enemy that has a mission to “kill, steal,  and destroy”.

John 10:10 – Jesus said, “The thief (Satan ) comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy;…”

Open your eyes those of us who call ourselves Christians and see what is happening in our great land.  I am convinced that the Church today demonstrates a great apathy concerning our ability to carry on the work of Jesus in the earth.  We seem to be more focused on building larger ministries and larger congregations than actually doing the works that Jesus did and advancing His kingdom.  We are more concerned about having a “good” meeting than being a “co-laborer” with Jesus and destroying the works of darkness.   As millions of unborn babies are slaughtered through abortion, as homosexuality and perversion are thrust upon our country, as addictions soar to unprecedented magnitude, as our society is being stripped of all reminders of our Christian heritage, as our children’s minds are being programmed by humanistic philosophies in public education, as the Bible’s inerrancy is challenged by many mainline denominations, as Eastern religions like Islam thrive in our society, as Satanism and witchcraft are exploding by tremendous numbers, as our government leaders are becoming more and more unrighteous in their manner of governing, as the prejudices in our world become explosive and  explode before our eyes, and as we are losing our children to the ways of the world, where is this powerful army of the Almighty God that is to be at work destroying the strongholds of the devil, holding back corruption, and establishing the righteous rule of Jesus Christ on the earth?  Where is it?

We are fighting the wrong enemy.  We are fighting what we see rather than using our spiritual authority to battle against those unseen enemies.

Paul said in Ephesians 6:12 – “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places.”  In other words we are in a battles with fallen angels, Satan, and demons that have to be fought using our spiritual weapons and authority.  Is your pastor equipping you for this battle?

I am developing a new website that will be addressing this issue of our authority and how to stand strong in the Lord and the power of His might.  I’ll inform you when it is uploaded.  But in the mean time, get with other Christian friends and begin to pray and do warfare concerning this presidential election.  Satan is doing everything in his arsenal to get the job for his servant to destroy this country.  Give me your thoughts on this.

The Signs of Our Times

I realize that this post is not an edifying post and it does not make us feel good, but my heart is heavy by what I see taking place and I know that the body of Christ MUST rise up and war against these demonicly inspired realities taking place.  Please read, make it a matter of prayer, and give me any comments you wish.

A Person’s Morality Dictates Their Theology and the Level of Sexual Perversion in Society is a Measure of the Demonic Activity in That Society

Those who are obsessed with unnatural practices by definition are perverted.  Sexual perversion in a society is the number one predictor of impending judgment. The most severe judgments in scripture were preceded by homosexual perversions and sexual assaults. The judgments did not come just because of sexual perversion alone. Sexual perversion is a pretty good barometer of demonic activity and of the moral state of a society.

Sexual lusting is never satisfied and it leads to a downward spiral of more deviant activity that is more and more perverse. For example, those into pornography are never satisfied; there is always something more perverted to see and lust after. Why else would it be the biggest industry on the Internet? Some are then not satisfied with just looking. They must also act out their vile lusts and they become predators of the innocent.

These unnatural lusts are not generated only by natural human desires. These lusts are generated by unclean spirits (demons) that are infecting the minds of these individuals. The main reason why God will not tolerate sex perversion is not that He has a hang up about everything being in the natural order (although if it were not sinful it would remain in the natural order), but God knows when sexual perversion rules in society, demons are enslaving society. The minds of many in that society are then under the control of demonic forces.

Once the spiritual state of mankind has degenerated to the point where sex perversion is widespread it also has degenerated to the point where man has no morals and he becomes like the animal that demons want him to be. The end result of all this is that society embraces doctrines of demons where there are no moral absolutes or any Creator to account to. Everyone does what is right in their own eyes and the end result for society is a “dog-eat-dog world” of injustice and chaos.

The body possessors

God created mankind to trust Him and to be containers of His Spirit so that we will be capable to fulfill His will for our lives. Instead, many have made themselves containers of unclean spirits who wish to possess and defile the human race. The type of spirit within man will manifest itself in outward expressions. Sex perversion is certainly one of those expressions.

When the sexually perverse are free to come out of their closets, be aware that other demonic activity will come out of those same closets with them. The intent is to infect society with doctrines of demons and promote warfare against the sons of light. Today we see this doctrine emerging as an increasingly belligerent stand against God’s law and against true Christianity and Judaism.

What we see going on today with the promotion of homosexuals by government, education and media is nothing but rebellion against God’s natural order. There is no doubt that these life choices are spreading disease and death to all of society. In the name of lust that they call love they are helping to bring disease and death to many people. So God in the past dealt harshly with sexual perversion in order to prevent the self-destruction of the world before His elect are saved out of it.

Signs of the time

Sooner rather than later God will intervene to protect the innocent and His own people by judging the wicked. We need to take a good look at our society today. Take a rational look at the perverted things that many people dwell upon. Would God create us for this purpose? Do unnatural lusts of the flesh make any rational sense? Why do the sexually perverse hate biblical morality? Why do the sexually perverse prey on the innocent? Why do the sexually perverse hate the true people of God? Do the reasons for past judgments in the Bible still apply to our modern society? I think they do.

After looking at the world’s downward spiral into the perverse, how much longer do we think God will let this insanity go on? I think that it may get worse before it gets better, but God will deal with sex perversion in society in the same generation that these demonic spirits prevail over society. From what I see, it really looks like God will judge this present generation.

John 10:10… I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

When you are not enjoying abundant life, you will feel as if life is full of toil. In your heart, life is meaningless and empty. You feel like someone “grasping for the wind”. (Ecclesiastes 2:11)

It seems as if nothing you do adds up to much.  The Bible calls this life “under the sun”. (Ecclesiastes 2:11)  Someone who lives life under the sun may or may not know God, but God is either forgotten or not the center of things in his life.  Your thoughts are focused on “things on this earth” and you do things to gratify your fleshly desires.  In the end, you find life depressing and unfulfilled.  Life under the sun is full of despair.

But this is not so with someone who lives life above the sun with God.  For life with Him is filled with joy and pleasures at His right hand. (Psalm 16:11)  Life is abundantly full and good just as Jesus promised — “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly”.

Colossians 3:1-2 …If you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  Set you mind on the things above, not on the things that are on the earth.

When you live life above the sun, you see things from God’s perspective and you become Christ-occupied.  You live for Him because you know that all things were created through Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:16) When you live for His glory, your life takes on a new meaning and purpose.

God’s Word says, “And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” (Colossians 1:17)  The Greek word for “consist” means “held together”.  In Christ, all things are held together.  And that is why when Christ is the central figure in your life, you will have it all together.  Your mind will be held together.  Your hopes and dreams will be held together.  Your family will be held together by the cords of His love.  He said for us to seek first His kingdom( the realm where He is the Supreme Ruler and King) and everything we need will be given to us.  (Matt. 6:33)

Your life will not be empty, but full of God’s goodness because “Christ in you, [is] the hope of glory”. (Colossians 1:27)  It is a wonderful life — this life lived from above the sun.

We   modern day preachers stress the ease of becoming a Christian, but is what we present as truth the real truth?  TRUTH IS DISCOVERED, NOT INVENTED!

The Lord Jesus never tried to coax men into a glib profession of faith.  Neither did He seek to attract a large following by preaching a popular message.  In fact, whenever people began to swarm after Him, He would turn to them and sift them by setting forth the sternest terms of discipleship.

How many people would come to an alter call for salvation if the preacher said the words of Jesus:  “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that does not foresake all that he has, cannot be My disciple.”  Luke 14:33.

The cost of true salvation is “everything” —  all a person has or is.

The terms for entering the kingdom of God is to “repent” from the old self-centered life in the kingdom of darkness,  die to your old life through water baptism, rise up out of the baptismal waters and receive the life (zoe) of God by the Holy Spirit, be “born again” into a new creation in Him, and begin a new life of commitment and obedience to King Jesus.

Anything less than this is not salvation according to the Scriptures.

Give me your thoughts on this.

This article dealing with your foundations in life is especially important because it shows you why the people of God seem not to grow up in their walk with God, but simply stay the same year after year.

MATTHEW 7:24-29 — “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and ACTS upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and it fell, and great was its fall.’ And the result was that when Jesus had finished these words, the multitudes were amazed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as one having authority and not as their scribes.”

JAMES 1:22 — “But prove yourselves “DOERS” of the Word, not hearers only who delude themselves.”

Jesus did not teach like the Scribes, He did not come to deliver speeches, but to make disciples and then He gave us the same commission as His ambassadors. He did not say “Go and deliver speeches,” but, “Go and MAKE DISCIPLES.”

It isn’t by hearing that someone learns, or creates a strong foundation in life, it is through PRACTICE.

Suppose that a piano teacher would use the same system of teaching that the church uses. He would have a big hall with pews and from 150 to 500 students sitting to hear a lesson. The teacher would have a large grand piano on the platform and he would play the piano so that the student could hear him. At the end of the lesson everyone would be saying, “What a beautiful lesson! Wasn’t the lesson great?” And then the students would come every Sunday morning and evening and one day during the week to hear another lesson. Thirty years could go by this way and yet nobody would be able to play the piano, because it isn’t by hearing that one learns but through PRACTICE. The church is the only institution that uses a non-functioning learning system. That is to say, THE HEARING ONLY SYSTEM.

This system of learning keeps the people of God in a perpetual state of non-functioning spiritual children. They do not grow to spiritual maturity because they have a head full of information, but no practical experience, no rock foundation. For example, how many of you reading this have ever been trained to cast out a demon, or to heal the sick, or to disciple a new believer, or to go lead a hard-core sinner to Jesus, or to use your faith to receive from God, or to be overwhelmingly more than a conqueror, or to train others to do the same, etc?

Jesus said that if we hear His words and don’t DO THEM we are building our lives on a weak sand foundation that will erode when the hard times come against us. But if we hear His words and PRACTICE DOING THEM we will be building our lives on a solid rock foundation that will stand when the storms of life come against us.

The entire goal of a person who teaches is to get the student to do what is being taught. If there is no doing, then there is no real learning and the teacher has no real authority in the life of the student. Remember when you went to school to learn math? The teacher showed you how to do the problems, but then gave “homework” so you had to “practice” the process for solving the math problems. This is how you learned. If you ever played football you had to practice the plays all week before you actually got into the game. Why do we think learning to live in the kingdom of God is any different?

The way discipleship really works is when a person is being discipled they give authority to the person doing the discipling. This is the concept of submission. I submit to my discipler because they now have authority in my life to give me commands or instructions TO DO certain things so that I will actually learn how to do them through practice. If I refuse to do the lessons I am being given then I will not learn and the discipler will not go on to the next lesson. This is the way Jesus taught His disciples.

He taught them by giving them commands to do certain things in order to learn the lessons He was trying to train them with and build a strong foundation in their lives for when He would be gone. Jesus required OBEDIENCE so that His disciples could be trained and learn the ways of the kingdom.

For example, “Zacchaeus, come down, hurry up” was a command. It was an order, not a speech.

“Matthew, follow Me, etc.”

“Go to a certain city; greet the people in such a way; preach thusly; don’t take any money with you; don’t charge money for healing; don’t go to the Gentiles, yet”; go find Me a donkey; etc.

All of these were commands that had to be obeyed.

James said that if we hear and don’t do, then we are deceiving ourselves. We think we know more than we actually do because we have no practical experience.

This is why Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples. Discipleship is the venue for people to be able to practice what they are learning and then go and perform this same process with others. Remember, Paul taught Timothy, Timothy was to teach faithful men, and the faithful men were to teach others. This is multiplying effect of discipleship.

Who is discipling you by equipping you to do the work of the ministry? Who is training you in your Christian life and helping you to build a strong foundation?   If no one is, then go to your pastor and ask him to either disciple you or assign someone he has discipled to equip you. This is actually the primary ministry of a pastor according to EPHESIANS 4:11-16.

If no one is there and willing to help you, then please send me an email at and I will help you.

What is Happenning in Our World?

Brothers and Sisters,

We are at war!!!!  Not with one nation against another, or rioting in the streets, or wicked politians doing unbelieveably stupid things, or any other human  happening.  We are at war with unseen powers that are manipulating all of these worldly disasterous happenings.

Ephesians 6:12 says, For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

The reason all the evil is happening in our world is because of an ineffective Church and it must stop or the world is doomed.

The only hope for this world we live in is for the Body of Christ to rise up and takes its place in this world and begin to battle against these unseen forces and solidify the victory that Jesus won at the cross of Calvary.  We are to be about destroying the works of Satan and his kingdom of darkness, but instead we sit inside the four walls of our chuches singing songs, listening to nice sermons, and rocking away waiting for the rapture to snatch us out of here.  Where are the saints of God that have the same heart for the people of this world that He has.  He died an excrutiating death so the people of this world could be born again and saved from this world that is under the dominion of Satan, the god of this world.

Pastors and evangelist should be preaching and demonstrating that the kingdom of God is at hand with power and miracles, not simply tickling the ears of the listens with how much God loves them and wants to bless them and give them favor.  We are to be equipping the saints of God to do the works of King Jesus and set the captives free from under Satan’s control, not just stroking their head and constantly trying to comfort people who are simply not willing to do what is required as a follower of Jesus.

We are to be “over-comers” which means we must be in a battle in order to overcome something or someone.

Revelations 12:11 — “And they overcame him ( Satan )because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even unto death.”

I am convinced that the Church in our culture has not been effective because we have not heard the truth that we are to “repent and believe for the kingdom of God is at hand” and what it really means when we say that “Jesus Christ is Lord” over all. We have not been adequately confronted with the truth of the kingdoms that are in conflict and our roles in it. We don’t understand the real difference between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. We do not really believe and act like we are “new creations in Christ” because of the new covenant. These comments are accurate because I see them demonstrated throughout our culture and the church world. Here are some examples:

  • Our disunity
  • Our greed
  • Our pride
  • Our love of material possessions
  • Our love of pleasure
  • Our unwillingness to sacrifice
  • Our praylessness ( except for ourselves and our blessings)
  • Our simply not wanting to rock Satan’s boat
  • We demonstrate no real zeal for the power of God in our lives

IT is a tragedy, but very true.

  • As millions of unborn babies are slaughtered through abortion – almost 50,000,000 since 1973
  • As homosexuality and perversion are being thrust upon our country
  • As addictions are soaring to unprecedented magnitudes
  • As women are become more and more militant
  • As our culture is being stripped of all reminders of our Christian heritage
  • As our children’s minds are being polluted and programed by godless humanistic philosophies in our government controlled public schools
  • As godless Marxist and socialist government are being thrust upon us
  • As the Bible’s infallibility is challenged in many mainline denominations
  • As homosexuals are being ordained to lead mainline churches
  • As Eastern religions thrive in our culture
  • As Satanism and witchcraft are exploding by tremendous numbers
  • As our government leaders are becoming more and more unrighteous in their manner of governing
  • And as we are losing our children to the ways of the kingdom of darkness rather than leading them to Jesus

The Bible declares that “in the beginning there was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things came into being by Him, …”  John 1:1-3

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us”  John 1:14

Revelation 19:13 — “And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God.”

The Father sent His Word to this earth and wrpped it in a flesh body for the world to behold what God was really like.  Jesus, as He is now, is the Father’s Words wrapped in the body He was given when He was sent to the earth.

Jesus is the Words of the Father incarnated so we could see his actions and hear what the Fatheer had to say to us.

When someone is “born again” the life of God (zoe) is placed within that person and that person becomes a “new creation” and that zoe life is the same life that Jesus had when He was on this earth.  That new birth was created by receiving the Word of God.  That Word was “incarnated” within you and you became a part of the “Body of Christ” on this earth.  See 1 Peter 1:23.

We, my friends, are the ongoing incarnation of God’s words.  We receive His words and those words become wrapped in flesh just like Jesus was.

The Church (ekklesia) that is on this earth today is the visible manifestation of Jesus on this earth that all the world is to see.

What kind of job are we doing?

I have a new book coming out in April 2016 called “The Jesus Revolution”  that will go into much more detail about what I have written in this short blog.  I will notify of it when it is released.

The New Creation in Christ

2 Corinthians 5:17 states “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is NEW CREATION; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.”

If you have become born again through enterring the blood covenant made available to us through the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross then you are “in Him”.

Romans 6:4 declares to us “Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life (zoe).”

If you have been born again and baptized in water the scriptures declare to us that we are new creations because we now have (“ZOE”) the life of God within us.  Can you even fathom that in your mind and heart.  You are now the same old person you were before your salvation experience.  You are just like Jesus was when He walked the earth – you have the life of the Father by the Holy Spirit within you.  That makes you capable of living your life just like Jesus did.  CAN YOU MEDITATE UPON THAT THOUGHT AND ALLOW IT TO PENETRATE DEEP WITHIN YOU?

Friends, we live so far below what God intends for our lives here on earth.

Matthew 6:10 – “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”  You are His children and His ambassadors upon this earth to bring heaven to earth and to be instrumental in bringing His will to pass ON THIS EARTH.

Are we doing our jobs, or just waiting for the great escape to occur?

Think about it!

The Church Is to Be a Penetrator

The mission of the Church is to penetrate and overcome all areas of the kingdom of darkness and advance the kingdom of God on this earth so that Jesus can return as King over ALL.  In Scriptrue the Church of those called out of the darkness are compared to four things:  light, salt, yeast (leaven), and seed.  What is the characteristi common to all four things listed?  They penetrate their soundings.

Light penetrates and drive back the darkness.  If you enter a dark room and light a match does the darkness put out the match?  NO!  The light of the match penetrates the darkness and drives it back so you can see your way through that dark place.  The Church, the called out ones (ekklesia), is to be a light on a hill shining its light all around not hiding with the four walls of a building we now call a church.  We are to penetrate our culture and drive back the darkness created by the absense of God’s light.

Salt was used as a preservative in Jesus day.  They would cover meat with salt to preserve it from decay since there was no refrigeration.  The salt would penetrate the meat so that it would not decay until the owner could cook it.  We, the Church, are to be the preservative of our cultures by penetrating it and holding back the corruption and decay brought about by the kingdom of darkness.

Yeast (leaven) is put in dough to make it rise or expand.  We, the Church, are in our cultures to expand the influence of King Jesus and His kingdom.  God has spinkled us in neighborhoods, towns, cities, countries to be leaven and produce an expansion of His kingdom.

Seed is also a penetrator.  Seed does nothing until it is placed within the ground by being planted.  When it is planted is comes to life and drives roots deep into the ground and brings forth the life that is buried in the seed so all around it can see the life.  God has planted His Church throughout the world in ever culture to show forth His life through those called out of the darkness.

Are you a penetrator?  Have you taken up your responsibility as a citizen of Heaven and His kingdom to penetrate your neighborhood, your village, your town, your city, or your country?  Why, or why not?

How Satan is Muzzling the Church With FEAR

2 Timothy 1:7 – “God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.”

Churches lost their freedom of religion when they came under the iron boot of tax exemption. Because Pastor’s are afraid of losing their tax exempt status they CANNOT PREACH the whole truth of Scripture and therefore they have lost their freedom to be the salt and light the Church is supposed to be. This homosexual marriage ruling is another fear tactic Satan is using to muzzle the Church in our culture.

Just another proof that God’s hand of blessing and protection has been lifted from America. First we legalized premeditated murder called abortion that brings judgment, then we have kicked God out of the school system and brought in the teaching of paganism which brings judgment, now we have legalized and protected homosexuality which also brings judgment. Can anyone else see this path we are taking toward judgment?

Below this line is a document I saw about how the Church has been deceived by the 501c3 tax exemtion status:

Most churches in America have organized as “501c3 tax-exempt religious organizations.” This is a fairly recent trend that has only been going on for about fifty years. Churches were only added to section 501c3 of the tax code in 1954. We can thank Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson for that. Johnson was no ally of the church. As part of his political agenda, Johnson had it in mind to silence the church and eliminate the significant influence the church had always had on shaping “public policy.”

Although Johnson proffered this as a “favor” to churches, the favor also came with strings attached (more like shackles). One need not look far to see the devastating effects 501c3 acceptance has had to the church, and the consequent restrictions placed upon any 501c3 church. 501c3 churches are prohibited from addressing, in any tangible way, the vital issues of the day.

For a 501c3 church to openly speak out, or organize in opposition to, anything that the government declares “legal,” even if it is immoral (e.g. abortion, homosexuality, etc.), that church will jeopardize its tax exempt status. The 501c3 has had a “chilling effect” upon the free speech rights of the church. LBJ was a shrewd and cunning politician who seemed to well-appreciate how easily many of the clergy would sell out.

Did the church ever need to seek permission from the government to be exempt from taxes? Were churches prior to 1954 taxable? No, churches have never been taxable. To be taxable a church would first need to be under the jurisdiction, and therefore under the taxing authority, of the government. The First Amendment clearly places the church outside the jurisdiction of the civil government: “Congress shall make NO LAW respecting an establishment of religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

Religion cannot be free if you have to pay the government, through taxation, to exercise it. Since churches aren’t taxable in the first place, why do so many of them go to the IRS and seek permission to be tax-exempt? It occurs out of:

  • Ignorance (“We didn’t know any better”)
  • Bandwagon logic (“Everyone else is doing it”)
  • Professional advice (many attorneys and CPAs recommend it)

Does the law require, or even encourage, a church to organize as a 501c3? To answer that question let’s turn to what the IRS itself has to say.

Churches Need Not Apply

In order to be considered for tax-exempt status by the IRS an organization must fill out and submit IRS Form 1023 and 1024. However, note what the IRS says regarding churches and church ministries, in Publication 557:

Some organizations are not required to file Form 1023. These include:

Churches, interchurch organizations of local units of a church, conventions or associations of churches, or integrated auxiliaries of a church, such as a men’s or women’s organization, religious school, mission society, or youth group. These organizations are exempt automatically if they meet the requirements of section 501(c)(3).

Churches Are “Automatically Tax-Exempt”

According to IRS Code § 508(c)(1)(A):

Special rules with respect to section 501(c)(3) organizations.

(a) New organizations must notify secretary that they are applying for recognition of section 501(c)(3) status.

(c) Exceptions.

(1) Mandatory exceptions. Subsections (a) and (b) shall not apply to—

(A) churches, their integrated auxiliaries, and conventions or associations of churches.

This is referred to as the “mandatory exception” rule. Thus, we see from the IRS’ own publications, and the tax code, that it is completely unnecessary for any church to apply for tax-exempt status. In the IRS’ own words a church “is automatically tax-exempt.”

Churches Are “Automatically Tax-Deductible”

And what about tax-deductibility? Doesn’t a church still need to become a 501c3 so that contributions to it can be taken as a tax deduction? The answer is no! According to IRS Publication 526:

Organizations That Qualify To Receive Deductible Contributions

You can deduct your contributions only if you make them to a qualified organization. To become a qualified organization, most organizations other than churches and governments, as described below, must apply to the IRS.

In the IRS’ own words a church “is automatically tax-deductible.”

Churches Have a Mandatory Exception To Filing Tax Returns

Not only is it completely unnecessary for any church to seek 501c3 status, to do so becomes a grant of jurisdiction to the IRS by any church that obtains that State favor. In the words of Steve Nestor, IRS Sr. Revenue Officer (ret.):

“I am not the only IRS employee who’s wondered why churches go to the government and seek permission to be exempted from a tax they didn’t owe to begin with, and to seek a tax deductible status that they’ve always had anyway. Many of us have marveled at how church leaders want to be regulated and controlled by an agency of government that most Americans have prayed would just get out of their lives. Churches are in an amazingly unique position, but they don’t seem to know or appreciate the implications of what it would mean to be free of government control.”
