God’s Solution for Weariness

What the people of this world are seeking more than any other thing is the very thing that God wants to give us more than anything else – REST.

Matthew 11:28 – “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you REST. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”

This world is filled with fears, anxieties, depression, sickness, disease, poverty and lack. People spend the vast majority of their lives seeking solutions to these issues of life.

Here is a picture of a life of REST: Psalm 23 – The Lord Jesus is Our Shepherd.

“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil;
For Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou dost prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
Thou hast anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
