I am convinced that the Church today demonstrates a great apathy concerning our ability to carry on the work of Jesus in the earth. We seem to be more focused on building larger ministries and larger congregations than actually doing the works that Jesus did and advancing His kingdom.
The professional occupational ministers seems to be more concerned with maintaining and entertaining the children of God rather than equipping and training them to do the works of ministry that Jesus did. We are more concerned about having a “good” meeting than being a “co-laborer” with Jesus and destroying the works of darkness. Shame on us.
Where is the Church that Jesus is building that is the light that penetrates and drives back the kingdom of darkness and that acts like salt to hold back corruption? Have we hidden the light inside the four walls of our buildings? Have we left the salt in the shaker?
